Jacob Stauffer, Jr., 83, of Oley, died June 15 in ManorCare Health Services-Laureldale, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born December 29, 1933 in Douglassville, he was the son of the late Edith (Dieroff) and Jacob Stauffer, Sr., and the husband of Jean (Sniegoski) Stauffer, who he married in 1953, truly celebrating 64 years of marriage together.
Jacob was self-employed as a meticulous house painter all his life, a business he passed down to his son when he retired at the age of 80.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his loving children: sons Steven, husband of Carin of Boyertown; Daniel, husband of Tanya, Boyertown, Michael, Myerstown, and daughters Linda, wife of Sam Young, Palmyra; Joan, wife of Frank Tornetta, Boyertown, and Marlene, wife of Jack Karpinski, Boyertown, along with four grandchildren, who he dearly loved and will greatly miss him.
Jacob is also survived by his sisters Jean Schock and Margaret Tothero, and was predeceased by his sisters Margie Hoffman and Shirley Norris.
